Status you can trust
A machine is free, in use, or booked. Orange only ever marks what's live right now or what belongs to you, so the room reads the same way every time.
Hold a window
Request a time on a specific machine and get a reminder before it starts. Your own time is outlined in blue on the room's calendar.
Finish and free it
Tap finish and the machine goes green for everyone immediately. The session drops into history with who strung what, and when.

Tap
Hold your phone to the tag on the machine. Crosses opens on that machine and claims it for you, even from the lock screen.
String
A timer runs while you work. Extend it if the job is bigger than you thought. The room sees the machine as in use the whole time.
Log
Finishing frees the machine and writes the job to the room's history: racquet, string, tension, who did it.

Pair a blank NFC sticker to a machine once, from inside the app. After that the tag is the shortest path into a session: no menus, no picking the right machine off a list.
Crosses is coming to iPhone.
It isn't on the App Store yet. The app is built and in testing on real machines. This page gets the download link the day it ships.
